Piano tutoring

Piano lessons for beginners and returning players, with or without recitals.

About piano lessons

Piano lessons can follow a structured method, prepare you for a recital or audition, or simply help you play the music you love. Your tutor will agree goals with you and set realistic practice between lessons.

What lessons can cover

  • Reading music
  • Technique and posture
  • Scales and pieces
  • Playing by ear and improvising

Every learner is different, so your tutor will tailor lessons to the learner’s goals.

Questions

Piano tutoring FAQs

Are lessons online or in person?

Either. Online lessons take place over video, so you can learn from anywhere in the U.S. In-person lessons depend on a suitable tutor being available near you. You can choose either option when you request a tutor.

How long is each lesson?

A standard lesson is one hour. If a shorter or longer session would suit the learner better, let us know when you request a tutor.

What does it cost?

You pay us a set hourly price that depends on the learner’s level, rather than negotiating with each tutor. See our pricing page for details.
